The Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to seven slide-offs and seven crashes during Saturday’s ice storm. Only one of those crashes resulted in injuries that required transport to a hospital. That crash was reported at around 10:22 a.m. on Highway 61 near Highway 129 in South Lancaster. A 21-year-old Isabelle Schindler of Lancaster was driving south when she lost control on the icy road. Schindler’s vehicle entered the east side ditch and hit an embankment before coming to a stop. Schindler and her passenger were taken to Grant Regional Health Center with injuries. The vehicle was moderately damaged and towed from the scene by Arrow towing.
