On November 24th staff at Dodgeville School District received a memo from the District Administrator Ryan Bohnsack outlining cost saving measures after the recent referendum failed. The first section outlined various staff changing roles and taking on additional responsibilities. The second part of the memo discussed budget options that will be proposed at tonight’s board meeting. Some of the additional cost saving measure include removing appliances from classrooms, professional staff no longer receiving compensation for subbing for colleagues, support staff no longer will be offered hours during professional development days, and support staff will no longer be compensated for inclement weather or virtual learning days. These changes will be set to begin January 1st if implemented.
