AAA expects a record 1.6 million Wisconsinites to travel 50 miles or more for Thanksgiving this year, an increase of more than 35,000 from last year. Experts attribute the rise in travel to economic growth, lower inflation, and stronger income gains. For those hitting the road, AAA warns that the busiest times to drive will be Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, while Thanksgiving Day offers the lightest traffic. If you’re heading home Sunday, leaving early in the morning is your best bet.
