Police said a man died from injuries he sustained in a Dubuque crash earlier this month. 83-year-old Herbert J. Bisping of Dubuque, died Thursday at University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics. A preliminary investigation showed Bisping’s health rapidly declined due to injuries sustained in the crash coupled with his age. According to a police crash report Bisping was traveling east on Kane Street near the intersection with Miracle League Drive at approximately 5:55 p.m. on Nov. 13 when his vehicle veered off the road and struck a utility pole. The Johnson County Medical Examiner’s Office said Bisping, who initially was transported by ambulance to MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, sustained a neck fracture and pelvic fracture in the crash.
