An appeal hearing for a Dubuque police officer contesting his September firing has been postponed until Dec. 19. Dubuque Police Chief Jeremy Jensen fired Aidan Carr after an incident where Carr allegedly accidentally fired a gun into his neighbor’s house and initially lied to reporting officers about the mishap. Carr has appealed his termination before the Dubuque Civil Service Commission. An initial date was set for Nov. 8 but both parties agreed to delay the hearing until December.
