Tom Cruise In Early Talks To Make ‘Days Of Thunder’ Sequel

Tom Cruise is reportedly in early talks with Paramount for a sequel to his 1990 NASCAR film, Days Of Thunder, following the success of Top Gun: Maverick. Directed by the late Tony Scott and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the project is still in early stages due to Cruise’s busy schedule. Bruckheimer is also involved in discussions about returning for the sequel, which has garnered increased interest in the racing film genre following successful recent releases like Ford v Ferrari and F1. The original film, featuring Cruise as race car driver Cole Trickle, has gained more appreciation over time despite mixed initial reviews and box office performance. (Variety)
