The pheasant hunting season is officially underway across Wisconsin. DNR Pheasant Ecologist Alissa Kakatsch say hunters are limited to two birds per day, unless they are on a specified hen and rooster harvest area. Kakatsch says they’ll be stocking approximately 75,000 birds across roughly 80 properties across southern and central Wisconsin. Kakatsch encourages hunters to keep basic firearm safety in mind and wear something blaze orange or pink. More information on pheasant hunting can be found on the DNR’s website.
