The Green County Development Corporation (GCDC) and Monroe High School have secured a $2 million state grant to expand the current plans for a new trades center at the high school’s future building. According to GCDC, this center will create an environment that fosters hands-on learning, cultivating essential skills and knowledge necessary in order to be successful in high-demand industries. The partnership specifically highlights skilled metal, construction and automotive work. The corporation was one of 50 non-state grant program projects awarded.
