HBO is set to launch the irreverent comedy series It’s Florida, Man, co-produced by Danny McBride’s Rough House Pictures, premiering on October 18 at 11pm with a six-episode first season. The show will depict bizarre and outlandish tales inspired by real events in Florida, including mermaids, witches, feral bunnies, and alligators, featuring a multitude of guest stars like Anna Faris, Randall Park, Jake Johnson, Jon Gries, Sam Richardson, Ego Nwodim, Juliette Lewis and Simon Rex. The show follows in the footsteps of other offbeat HBO comedies like A Black Lady Sketch Show and Los Espookys. (Deadline)
