A 12-year-old girl was cited after driving and crashing a vehicle in Lafayette County. Sheriff Reg Gill reports that a deputy responded Saturday night to the crash near Highway 81 in Seymour Township. The girl had been traveling east in a 2017 Dodge at a high rate of speed when she lost control of the vehicle and went into a ditch. She was taken to the hospital with non–life threatening injuries. Her vehicle was towed from the scene with disabling damage. The girl was cited for no valid driver’s license, no insurance, failure to maintain control and obstructing.
