The Wisconsin Supreme Court will rule on whether Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. should remain on the ballot in the state for the Nov. 5 election. The court granted a petition from the Wisconsin Elections Commission Friday to bypass the court of appeals in the case. Oral arguments are not expected in the case, and the court said it would “endeavor to issue a written decision as expeditiously as possible.” The WEC ruled last month to keep Kennedy on the ballot despite him dropping out and endorsing former President Donald Trump. Commissioners cited state law that independent candidates who file nomination papers before the Aug. 6 deadline cannot be removed from the ballot unless they die.
