Portage man arrested after fleeing officers in a limo and on foot

A Portage man was arrested in southeast Wisconsin after two chases: one in a limousine and one on foot. On Monday afternoon in Pleasant Prairie, officers tried to stop the limo for a registration violation, but it took off. Eventually, the limousine crashed into a ditch. The driver then ran off, and police chased him into a wooded area. One officer found the suspect hiding in the woods and got into a fight with him. Police say the suspect bit the officer. A police K-9 bit the suspect’s arm, which allowed officers to take him into custody. 37-year-old Bradley Semrich of Portage was taken to the hospital for evaluation before being taken to the Kenosha County Jail. He was booked on a number of charges, including first-degree recklessly endangering safety, battery to an officer and possession with intent to deliver (methamphetamine). Police searched the vehicle and say they found methamphetamine and other items consistent with drug dealing. Officers say Semrich also had multiple outstanding warrants.
