Two people were arrested in Bridgeport following a check welfare call. On Wednesday, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a female passed out in a vehicle in a parking lot in Bridgeport. 38-year-old Stacy Connor of Gays Mills was found passed out in the driver’s seat holding a needle and a baggie of fentanyl. 39-year-old Edward Lemay of Milwaukee was passed out in the passenger seat. Prairie du Chein’s Police Department K9 Phoenix alerted to the presence of a controlled substance in the vehicle and a search was initiated. Baggies of fentanyl and items of drug paraphernalia were found. Conner was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance (2nd Offense), possession of Fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation. Lemay was arrested on charges of possession of Fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felony bail-jumping. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Prairie du Chien Police Department, Prairie du Chien Police Department K9 Phoenix, Gundersen Ambulance, Bridgeport First Responders, and Milo’s Towing Service.
