Wisconsin’s finals for ‘Alice In Dairyland’ will take place in Crawford County next year. In a release Thursday, it was announced that Wisconsin’s current Alice In Dairyland, Halei Heinzel, will visit the Crawford County Fair Saturday as part of a lead up to the finals in May. Alice In Dairyland began as a beauty contest in 1948 but now functions as a public relations position with the goal of educating the public on Wisconsin’s dairy industry. Heinzel, who is the 77th Alice In Dairyland, will be at the Crawford County Fair Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The finals for the 78th Alice In Dairyland are May 15-17, with events held in both Gays Mills and Prairie Du Chien. This is the first time Crawford County has played host for the finals.
