The flooded Mississippi River is slowly descending from its crest in Dubuque. A report says the river stood at 22.15 feet at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Dubuque’s railroad bridge, according to the National Weather Service. Flood stage is 17 feet at the bridge. The river crested at 22.3 feet at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at the bridge. Forecasters expect the river to continue dropping and dip below 21 feet by Friday, July 12. The river will remain above flood stage through early next week.
