National Weather Service confirmed a “high EF-2“ tornado hit near Argyle Saturday night with peak winds of 135 MPH. This is the seventh confirmed tornado in Wisconsin. The other areas confirmed as being hit by a tornado were Delavan, Lake Geneva, Janesville, Marshall, Watertown, and Belmont. The EF-2 tornado struck and destroyed the Apple Grove Lutheran church a few miles in between Argyle and Lamont.
