Emergency Contact Can Be Added To Driver’s License

The Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) now offers an option for motorists and individuals to add emergency contact information to their drivers license or ID record. DMV said adding the information is voluntary and will not appear on the card. Gov. Tony Evers signed the “To Inform Families First” law last year. The law was put into place to provide law enforcement the ability to contact a family member more quickly in the event of an emergency.
