A motorcyclist was injured and one person was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated following an accident on Saturday. Authorities report 70 year old Richard Schuchart of Hazel Green was in the Village of Benton around 6:15 pm when he failed to yield to an oncoming motorcycle being operated by a 68 year old man from Florida. The motorcyclist was transported for non life threatening injuries. Schuchart was also cited for Failure to Yield. Benton Fire, Benton First Response, Hazel Green EMS and Lafayette County EMS assisted at the scene.
