A woman was arrested after fleeing the scene of a loud disturbance and later driving at high rates of speed through a school parking lot while children were at practices. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office said dispatch received a call on Tuesday at about 6 p.m. for a disturbance on CTH X near CTH J in the township of Linden. The caller said multiple people were on the side of the road and they thought they heard gunshots. The caller said all of the vehicles were leaving the scene. The sheriff’s office later learned of the vehicles involved and were able to confirm there was no shooting or gunshots fired. However, a loud disturbance did take place with an “out-of-control female.” When a Mineral Point police officer attempted contact with the vehicles involved, one vehicle left the scene at a high rate of speed. The driver was identified as 31-year-old Tristin Kitelinger of Linden. She was later seen driving country roads at a high rate of speed and was reportedly all over the road. She was also seen driving through school parking lots at a high rate of speed while children were at practices. Kitelinger was arrested for second-degree recklessly endangering safety, bail jumping-felony, domestic disorderly conduct, possession of narcotic drugs, operating while under the influence and resisting an officer.
