Officials with the nonprofit license holder for Dubuque’s two casinos are preparing for the next step in a renovation project at Q Casino, which also announced updated branding this week. DRA board members on Tuesday got the first look at a new logo for the business, which will now be known as “Q Casino + Resort.” The brand transition will occur in the coming months and will encompass interior and exterior signage, promotional materials and a new website. The rebrand is part of a more-than-$80 million, five-phase renovation project that kicked off last year to completely revamp the casino complex. On Tuesday, the DRA board also approved details related to the planned construction of a boutique hotel tower as part of that project. A groundbreaking for the eight-story hotel, which will include a rooftop restaurant, is scheduled for April 23 following the DRA’s next board meeting.
