Alliant Energy crews at the Grant County Solar Project near Cassville are nearing the end of civil sitework as progress continues this summer. Crews are nearly finished constructing driveways and site roads and performing other activities like grading. The focus now turns to solar production equipment. Underground electric cable installation is roughly 35% complete and piles, the metal columns that anchor the solar array structures to the ground, are currently 25% installed. As of late June, crews have started to install solar panels. Alliant Energy crews expect to complete the Grant County Solar Project in the first half of 2024.
