Fatal Crash In Grant County

The Grant County Sheriff’s Department has released details on a fatal crash on Highway 133 near Cassville on Sunday. At around 10:35am, 44 year old Jesse Sahr of rural Cassville was traveling east on Highway 133 and was negotiating a left hand curve in the roadway. Sahr’s vehicle left the roadway on the south side and then entered the gravel shoulder and ditch. Sahr overcorrected, came back onto the roadway spinning counter–clockwise, and then rolled onto its roof in the westbound lane of Highway 133. Sahr was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Sahr suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Grant County Coroner. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Cassville Fire Department, Cassville EMS, Wisconsin State Patrol, the Grant County Coroner’s Office, and Bennett’s Towing of Lancaster. The crash remains under investigation. This is the third fatal crash in Grant County in 2023.
