At around noon on Monday, Green County Deputies, Browntown First Response, and Green County EMS responded to the Town of Cadiz, for a report of a one vehicle crash with injuries. After a subsequent investigation, Green County Deputies learned 69 year old Gerald Lomas of Lena, Illinois, was northbound on County Highway M when he lost consciousness. Lomas crossed the roadway, entered a ditch, and struck a creek bed and culvert. Lomas was wearing his seatbelt, his vehicle’s airbag deployed, and he had non-life-threatening injuries. Lomas’s vehicle had disabling damage to its front end and was towed from the scene.
