A woman has been arrested in connection to a fire at the Canfield Hotel in downtown Dubuque Wednesday night. According to Dubuque Police, 42 year old Crystal Farrell was arrested around at 8:35pm on a charge of arson. Farrell is accused of starting a fire at the hotel. Officials say the fire was contained to one room on the fourth floor of the hotel and that a hotel resident was taken to a hospital. The identity of that person has not been revealed. Fire officials responded to the fire at the Canfield Hotel around 8:25pm and found the fire coming from a fourth floor window. The occupants of the hotel were evacuated. A report says smoke damage affected a couple of floors above the fourth-floor room that was the source of the fire. Fire units remained at the scene until around midnight. More information will be made available later this morning.
