Two people are facing drug charges following a traffic stop near Arena on Tuesday evening. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies assisted an Arena Police Officer with the stop along Highway 14 around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. Following an investigation, 33-year-old Ashley Bird of Avoca was arrested on charges of felony bail jumping, misdemeanor bail jumping, possession of meth, possession of narcotic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating while revoked. A passenger – 33-year-old Zachary Cooke of Richland Center – was arrested on charges of possession of meth, possession of narcotic dugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were taken to the Iowa County Jail where they were booked on their charges and remain.
