A photo of a fat squirrel on the University of Michigan campus has gone viral, for the sheer girth of the critter! The rather rotund rodent has clearly been eating his fair share of nuts, and the photo originally taken by a U of M librarian has been re-posted by the US Fish and Wildlife Service with the caption: “Fox squirrels are the largest squirrels in North America. They typically weigh between 1 and 2 pounds, though this one might weigh a bit more than average!” HEY NOW, he’s just big boned…and I happen to LOVE fat squirrel…the beer from New Glarus Brewing Company!
