A long-time teacher and coach with the Potosi School District has been honored by the Wisconsin Athletic Directors Association. Ron Kading was presented the organization’s Distinguished Service Award during a virtual ceremony November 12. Kading was a physical education teacher in the district for 35 years and spent more than 40 years working with youth athletics programs.
His career also includes 562 wins as Potosi’s baseball coach, reaching the state tournament 5 times and having the school’s field named after him. Kading is a member of the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches’ Hall of Fame and Potosi Chieftain Hall of Fame for his work with students in the classroom and through athletics.
