Three people from the Madison area were arrested in Dubuque on Saturday for their role in a fraud case related to prescription drugs. According to reports, authorities with the Nebraska State Patrol had contacted pharmacists around Dubuque warning them this group may try to obtain prescription drugs illegally. Following an investigation, Dubuque Police arrested 30-year-old Rebeca Romero of Fitchburg on a charge of felony prescription fraud, and arrested 28-year-old Cameron Alexander of Madison on a charge of conspiracy to commit a felony. They were both arrested in the Hartig Drug store on University Avenue. Police also arrested 23-year-old Malik Bragg of Madison on charges of felony prescription fraud and possession of marijuana. The three are believed to be part of a larger, nation-wide prescription drug case.
