Republican State Senator Dale Schultz of

Richland Center has raised a lot of eyebrows

over the past couple of years.

He was against the G  O P effort to get a

mining bill passed. Then again this year,

he voted against a state budget that was

crafted by fellow Republicans.

Schultz says he didn’t like the budget

because it put the state back into deficit

Schultz is also against the increase in funding

for private voucher schools…versus

the money that’s been allocated for public schools.

Schultz also disagreed with many of the

non-fiscal items in the state budget.

But in the end, the deficit is the key

issue on why he voted against it.
