A man from Barneveld is facing his
fifth (5th) charge of drunk driving
after being arrested by Iowa County
authorities over the weekend.
According to the Iowa County Sheriff’s
Department, a deputy tried to make a
traffic stop on a vehicle in the Town
of Mineral Point Saturday afternoon.
It was being driven by 37-year-old
Timothy Larson. Larson reportedly
tried to get away, but when he did
he crashed his vehicle. Deputies
arrested Larson and took him to the
Iowa County Jail. Mineral Point Police
helped with the arrest.
Yesterday (Sunday) evening a man
from Boscobel was arrested after a
traffic stop by the Wisconsin State
Patrol. The State Patrol says
41-year-old Shawn P. Wagner was
stopped while driving on Highway-61
near Dairy Queen in Boscobel.
Wagner has been hit with his
sixth (6th) charge of drunk driving.
Authorities say there was also a child
in the vehicle at the time of Wagner’s
arrest. The traffic stop happened just
before 6:30 pm.
