STEPHEN CRANE TO LEAVE LANCASTER
The City of Lancaster will be needing a new,
city administrator. That’s because Stephen Crane
has announced his resignation to take a job in
Crane will be taking the job as Town Manager
in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, a community of
just under 16,000 people in southwestern
Massachusetts. Crane came to Lancaster from
Worcester, Massachusetts, where he was the
Special Projects Coordinator.
Crane worked as city administrator in Lancaster
for just short of four years. What will he miss
most about the city ???
Crane’s last day in Lancaster is April 1st.
He’ll be getting a pay raise along with his
new job, making just over $100,000.
He’s currently paid $77,000 a year as Lancaster’s
City Administrator. However, it is a fact that the
cost of living is higher in communities in the
eastern United States.
