The Soutwest Wisconsin Workforce
Workforce Devlepment Board has
scheduled a meeting for the employees
of Spireon in Platteville who lost their
jobs this week. Special Project Coordinator
Ron Coppernoll says the rapid response
meeting will be held Thursday morning
(10/10) at 10:00 am at the Southwest Tech
satellite location at the former O-E Gray
School in Platteville. The employees will
be given information about jobless benefits,
along with program retraining options.
Spireon is based in California. The Platteville
location makes G-P-S units for fleet vehicles.
Reports say 11 people lost their jobs last
Thursday (10/3). Spireon also has a facility
in Dyersville, Iowa.
