It looks like the Grant County Board of

Supervisors will have to hold a special

meeting to consider renovation work to

the Grant County Courthouse.

That’s what County Board Chairman

Larry Wolf told supervisors this week,

afters bids for the work were presented

to the county board. The bids are

being reviewed, and Wolf says copper

work on the upper ring of dome will

be taken out to reduce the cost.

Wolf says a special meeting will be

needed if the county wants to have

the renovations done this year.

Four construction and restoration

companies bid on the project.

The bids ranged from a high of

just under $4-million to a low of

just over $2.3-million.
