The Grant County Sheriff’s Department is
providing 500 free firearm safety kits to local
residents. It’s through a partnership with
Project ChildSafe, the nationwide firearms safety
education program. Grant County Sheriff,
Nate Dreckman.
Sheriff Dreckman says the safety kits include
a gun lock, which fits most guns.
You can pick-up a Project ChildSafe safety kit
anytime, at the Grant County Sheriff’s
Department in Lancaster. Sheriff Dreckman
says other law enforcement agencies in
Grant County will also be participating in this
project in the near future.
