About 40 acres of land on the City of

Platteville’s south side will be added

to the city’s industrial park.

The Platteville Common Council

has approved the city buying the

property from the Rosemeyer family

for just over $1-million. The purchase

was approved at Tuesday night’s (7/9)

Platteville Common Council meeting.

The Platteville Area Industrial

Development Corporation is the driving

force behind the deal. Jim Schneller

with PAIDC says the addition is a great,

first step toward bringing new business

to Platteville.

The land is located along Eastside Road.

That’s across from the current industrial

park. The purchase price is $26,300 an acre.
