PREPARE FOR THE COLD…DON’T WEAR SHORTS
More cold weather is in store for
the Tri-States over the next week.
Mary Rasmussen is the Assistant
Director with the Grant County
Health Department. She says make
sure you wear a hat in the cold
weather…because you lose a lot of
body heat through the top
Rasmussen also says for kids,
mittens are better than gloves.
Better yet, with dangerous
wind chills below zero expected,
it’s probably best for the kids and
the elderly to stay inside where
The National Weather Service says
the cold air the region is getting is
right off the Arctic…and will be
some of the coldest temperatures
for the area since 1996.
