A woman from Platteville has been treated at Southwest Health Center for injuries after a one-vehicle crash early last Friday in the Town of Belmont.

Lafayette County authorities say 20-year-old Megan A. Morshead was driving east on County Double-X.

That’s when she lost control of her vehicle, causing it to go off the road and over a fence. It then overturned.

Morshead has been charged with drunk driving, failure to keep her vehicle under control and for operating after suspension.

Helping at the scene was the Platteville E M S.

A man from Benton has escaped injury after a one-vehicle crash early Sunday on County Highway-W in the Town of White Oak Springs in Lafayette County.

Just before 9:00 am Sunday a deputy noticed a severely damaged vehicle parked on 2nd Street in the Village of Benton.

The deputy talked with the owner, 20-year-old Brandon J Lyne, and learned about the crash.
Lyne was reportedly driving west on County-W when he lost control of his vehicle.

It went off the road and hit several trees.

He was able to drive from the scene and back to his home in Benton.

Lyne has been cited for failure to control his vehicle, and failure to
tell police about an accident.
