A man from Dubuque is now

facing several charges in

La Crosse County Court,

in connection with a high

speed chase last Friday that

ended with a crash near

Holmen. La Crosse County

authorities have charged

26-year-old Timmy Lansing

Johnson-Junior with

three-counts of recklessly

endangering safety, vehicle

theft, fleeing from police and

bail jumping. He’s scheduled

for a competency hearing

on July 9th. His bond is

set at $500,000 cash.

When the car that Johnson

was driving crashed, the

body of the owner of the

vehicle was found in the

trunk. Reports say an

autopsy shows 79-year-old

Merle Forbes died of stab

wounds. However, no

charges have been filed

against Johnson in connection

with his death. But he

could face homicide and

other charges, once that

part of the investigation

is completed in Grant County.
