Doug Wagen's Bio:

Hometown:  Germantown, WI. (The one in Washington County).

Fave's: My great family and three fantastic kids,
the best looking wife in the world (was she nuts to
marry me), and doing play-by-play of sports. I just
learned to enjoy gathering and writing news because I had
to do it to stay in broadcasting. Of course there's the
Green Bay Packers, the Milwaukee Brewers, and the
Milwaukee Bucks. I'm really not a Wisconsin Badger fan,
since while I was growing up they were always getting
stomped in every sport. However, I am a backer of
Wisconsin Badger mens' basketball coach Bo Ryan.
I think what he has done with a basketball program that was
never even thought of as a contender, any time, in mens'
basketball, is just short of amazing. I hope he takes
Wisconsin to the Final Four, sometime in the next couple
of years. By the way, I should also tell you
I'm a big Marquette fan, being a Milwaukee area native.

Food: Sauerkraut and apple sauce. Gross !!! Actually,
I don't eat food. I use the food snythesizers
from Star Trek for my dinners.

Movies: I'm a big Harrison Ford fan, including
Indiana Jones and the Jack Ryan series. One of the
first movies my parents took me to was the war movie,
"The Battle of the Bulge." So you'll find me on
my free time watching a lot of war movies, but
also reading about military history. I'm even named
after a famous general, Douglas MacArthur.

TV: You won't find me watching a lot of the current
television shows. I've watched less then a half-hour of
American Idol. It's mainly because I'm asleep when the
shows are on, having to get up at 3:00 am to do the news.
I do like shows from the 60s including Green Acres,
Hawaii Five-O,Star Trek and Wild, Wild, West.
Of course we can't forget Bugs Bunny
and The Three Stooges. Two of may favorite lines come
from those two programs. "Hey laughing boy," and
"You know, fish is great brain food. Then you should
eat a whale." As you know, a whale is not a fish.

Julie Jacobs

Julie Jacobs' Bio:

Hi to all of you wonderful WGLR listeners!! I am Julie, the lone female in this crazy crew, holdin' my own! I have worked in radio on and off since 2000, on the air for classic rock, adult contemporary and oldies stations, but country radio is where my heart is...I am so happy to be on WGLR. I grew up listening to my Mom's Willie Nelson records, and dancing to my 45" record of Waylon singing "The Dukes of Hazzard" show theme. HA!

You can catch me on the air from 10-3 weekdays, and don't miss out on the all request "Drive Thru Diner" from 12:30 to 2! You can get your requests to me by giving me a call in the studio at 723-4575 or 1-877-WGLR-977, sending me an E-request through the WGLR homepage, or by texting your request with your cell phone to the number 50857.

And in the good news department, my husband and I just welcomed our baby boy Kieran in September! I am enjoying being a mommy and experiencing all of his adorable smiles and those special first "milestones." Plus he loves country music, probably from hearing it everyday when he was in my tummy while I was here working!! :)

Hometown:
Janesville, Wisconsin (Go Parker Vikings!)

Fave's:
My adoring husband who really does like country music; our german shepherd Toby, and kitties Bella and Murphy; camping; watching the Green Bay Packers; NASCAR (go #17!); visiting with friends and family; grilling out; traveling; visiting historic sites and museums (I am a history nut!)

Food:
Italian, Mexican, and cherry cheesecake! I enjoy a good gyro too, and of course pizza. And in these chilly months, I love my slow cooker! I enjoy making soups and stews and other yummy cold weather foods that warm me up.

Movies:
Just about anything with Tom Cruise in it; classic Disney movies (The Little Mermaid is my all time fave!); classic 80's movies like "Pretty in Pink"; romantic comedies, thrillers (but NOT horror films, ACK!); and of course, historical movies like Glory, The Patriot, etc.

TV:
Ghost Hunters on Sci-Fi; Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives; Heroes; Deadliest Catch; Mythbusters; Medium; Antiques Roadshow; Dancing With the Stars; American Idol; and I still occasionally watch a few soaps, Young & The Restless and Days of Our Lives. And I admit it, I love Little House on the Prairie. Seen every episode at least 75 times, no kidding.

Pet Peeves:
People who pull out in front of me on the highway when there is NOBODY behind me!! And especially when they don't get up to speed when doing so! GGRRRR!

Ryan McCall

Ryan McCall's Bio:

"I Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool" was the signature song of my all time favorite artist Barbara Mandrell but it was a statement I could have easily applied to my life.  My love affair with country music really began in my teenage years and has lead me on a road that introduced me to so many fantastic people and helped me achieve so many dreams that I had.  I'm having some of the most fun that I've ever had at WGLR right now and I thank you for listening, participating and stopping by my page on WGLR.com to learn more about me.

I also have to give a shout out to Lynda Carter who was so awesome to me when I met her!

Food: Spaghetti pie might be my favorite dish.  I also enjoy Italian, Tex Mex & foods on the grill.  I also have a fondness for chocolate and other treats.  Didn't Julie say something about cheesecake in her answer?  Yum.
