The Lancaster School Board has approved
the selection of the Academic Excellence
Scholar for the current school year.
Courtney Mumm is the recipient of the
Academic Excellence Scholarship.
The board used the third criteria to
determine the winner of the scholarship.
Courtney and fellow Senior
Stephanie Tranel both have attended
Lancaster High school for at least the
past three semesters, and both have identical
4.0 grade averages. However, Mumm has
a higher A C T score, so she receives the
scholarship. Tranel will be listed as the
alternate recipient, should Mumm not
utilize the scholarship.
Consistent with Board Policy, they will
be co-valedictorians for Lancaster High
School for 2013, and no salutatorian will
be named.
