was not a record-setter overall
when it comes to precipitation.
In fact, it doesn’t even rank in the
But it has contributed to a
precipitation total that has already
equaled last year.

All of last year, Lancaster had
just under 27″ of precipitation
for the year. For individual communities,
Lancaster received just under 8″
of rain last month.
Other rainfall totals last month
include just over 12″ recorded at
the Boscobel Airport, nearly 14″
at Prairie Du Chien, 13″ at Steuben,
and 14″ at Dorchester in Allamakee
County in northeast Iowa.

When it comes to temperature,
June was a normal month.
The average temperarture was
67.3-degrees, where the typical
average temperature is 66.9-degrees.
The hottest day of the month was
June 21st when it was 86-degrees.
The coldest temperature of the
month was recorded on June 3rd,
when it was 43-degrees.
