The Lancaster School Board has hired several new teachers

for the upcoming school year. That includes a new High School

Instrumental Music and Elementary Vocal Music teacher.

Rebekah Vogelsberg has been hired by the district.

Vogelsberg has been teaching music in Lone Tree, Iowa

since 2001.

The school board has also hired two new teachers for the

Winskill Elementary School. They are Margaret Bussan

who will teaching fourth grade. Bussan has been teaching

in the Hanover (IL) School District since 1999. Meanwhile,

Patrick Ralph has been hired to teach second grade at

Winskill. This will be Ralph’s first year of teaching as

he just graduated from UW-Platteville.

The Lancaster School Board has hired Carrie Wilson-Smith

as the new Elementary Special Education Teacher.

In other action, the board has accepted the resignation

of Valerie Gallucci as the School Counselor at Winskill

Elementary School. The Board has also approved the

district contract with CESA-3 for the upcoming school

year. It’ll be $100,000 less than last year, because the

district will not be utilizing CESA as much for Special

Education administrative services. That’s because the

district hired Katherine Strong to work as the Director

of Special Education.
