The Lancaster Common Council has approved

two separate motions concerning operation of

the restaurant at the Lancaster Municipal Golf Course.

The first motion extends the current lease

with Darrin Miles one more month to operate

the restaurant at the golf course. Miles will

pay the city, $1,700.

The second motion awards a three-year

lease to Country Club-Pub Incorporated,

owned by Tom and Lori Phalen.

Country Club-Pub Incorporated will begin

operating the restaurant at the municipal

golf course, starting March 1st. In the

first year, they’ll pay the city $1,700 a

month, in the second year $1,780 a month,

and in the third year $2,057 a month.

Any improvements to the kitchen and

restaurant facilities still have to be

approved by the Lancaster Common Council.

However, any changes to the menu and

dining schedule along with hiring additional

restaurant employees is up to the corporation.

Meanwhile, the Lancaster Common Council

has taken no action on possibly selling

the former T-C Beverage location on the city’s

south side, along Highway-61. City Administrator

Steve Winger says someone had asked about

the property. Winger says the site is just

under two-acres and is zoned as a C-1

commercial property.
