While the financing of the library project in Lancaster has
drawn a lot of attention, the city’s common council has
also approved a financing package for several street projects.
The common council has approved issuing water system revenue
bonds for work on Hickory Street, Adams Street, and Linden
Street. The city has also financed two major water projects.
That would include a water main replacement at Lancaster
High School, and the purchase of equipment and software
for the water utility to install the Supervisory Control
and Data system, and to do remote meter readings.
The Hickory Street project is already underway, while
Adams Street would happen next year, with Linden Street
work planned for next year or 2016.
