JOHN AND PEG HASKINS DONATE TO LIBRARY

Another major donation has been

announced for the Schreiner Memorial

Library building and renovation project

in Lancaster. John and Peg Haskins

have donated $200,000 to the project,

payable over the next 10-years.

That’s John Haskins, who says the

library project is important for several

reasons.

The donation by John and Peg Haskins

now sends the local fundraising effort

for the library building and renovation

project, over the $1-million mark.

If the $1-million the city has committed

to the project is included, over

$2-million has been raised. The library

building and renovation project is

estimated to cost just over $3-million.

The city contribution would be

made next year.

John Haskins is a native of the Lancaster

area. He and his wife own Viking Travel.

The donation is being made in honor of

his mother, Carol Haskins and their

family.
