Construction work will start less than

two weeks from today (4/8) on Highway-171

in Crawford County. The project calls

for replacing the Joy Hollow Bridge

near Ferryville. The bridge will be

replaced along with a box culvert.

Highway-171 will be closed during the

construction work. A detour will be

posted for motorists to use Highway-82

and Highway-27. Local access will be

maintained via Copper Creek Road

from the north, and Stoney Point Road

from the south. Work will be staged

to allow local residents access to

Highway-171 between the bridge and

the box culvert. The project will cost

just over $700,000 and should be

done by August.
