The proposed merger between Premier Co-op
and Heartland Country Cooperative has been
given the green light. According to the Premier
Cooperative General Manager Andy Fiene,
members of Heartland Co-op overwhelmingly
voted in favor of the merger. The vote was taken
last month. Fiene says the merger should be
completed by March 1st.
Heartland Country Cooperative has locations in
Westby, Viroqua and La Farge in Vernon County,
and Cashton in Monroe County. Premier
Cooperative is based in Mount Horeb, and has
facilities in 11 different communities in the
region.
