The Grant Regional Health Center in

Lancaster has its’ own clinic again.

Hospital officials have announced the

purchase of the Dean Clinic in Lancaster,

renaming it the Grant Regional Community

Clinic. The change of ownership took

effect on Monday.

Grant Regional Health Center President

and C-E-O Nicole Clapp says the move is

consistent with the hospital’s strategic

plan to secure a strong foundation for

heathcare in the region. But she also

admits that Dean Health Care approached

hospital officials  about buying the clinic.

Clapp says the acquisition means 20 more

employees have been added to the staff at the

Grant Regional Health Center, giving the

hospital around 200 employees.

That includes the doctors from the clinic.

Clapp also says specialists from Dean will

continue to have a regular schedule at

the clinic.

The clinic will remain open Monday

through Thursday from 7:00 am to

7:00 pm, and Fridays from 8:00 am

until 5:00 pm. To reach the clinic by

phone or to schedule appointments,

you can continue to call 723-2131.

Clapp says the goal of the hospital is

to accept a wider variety of insurance

plans at the clinic. The Dean Health

Plan will continue to be accepted.

If you have questions regarding

insurance, call the hospital’s

Business Office at 723-3202.
