Grant County authorities are investigating

a deer kill that happened over the weekend.

Authorities say an eight-point buck

was shot by someone who was driving on

County Highway-N between Burton and North

Dutch Hollow Road in Waterloo Township.

The buck was shot from the road while it was

in a wooded area.

Just after the deer was shot a passerby saw the

dead deer and called the Sheriff’s Department.

A Grant County Sheriff’s Department and a

D N R Warden went to the location to investigate.

That’s where they found the deer that had been

shot. Anyone with information should call the

Grant County Sheriff’s Department at 723-2157,

or the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources

at 1-800-847-9367.
