Two teens from Fennimore have been
treated for possible injuries at the Grant
Regional Health Center in Lancaster after
a two-vehicle crash last Saturday evening
on Highway-129, east of Lancaster.
Grant County authorities say 16-year-old
Cheyanne Pierce and 17-year-old
Anthony Skaife were both taken to the
hospital by the Lancaster E M S.
Pierce was reportedly driving north on
Highway-129 and had slowed to turn
left onto Lincoln Road. As she was
turning left, a vehicle being driven by
50-year-old Lawrence Haas of Potosi
passed Pierce on the left, and the two
vehicles collided. Haas and a passenger
in the vehicle…22-year-old Mariah Schultz
of Shullsburg…are uninjured.
Traffic had to be rerouted off Highway-129
for a short time while the crash scene was
cleaned-up. Both vehicles were removed
by Pink’s Towing. Firefighters from Lancaster
also helped at the scene.
Haas has been cited for passing a vehicle
making a left turn.
